The nearest airport is Lengpui Airport in Aizawl (approx. 300 km away). From there, private taxis or state transport services can be arranged to Lawngtlai town or directly to the sanctuary area.

🚉 By Train:
The nearest major railway station is in Silchar, Assam (approx. 350 km). From Silchar, travel by road to Lawngtlai via Aizawl.

🚌 By Road:
Lawngtlai is well connected to Aizawl by regular Mizoram State Transport buses and private taxis. From Lawngtlai, local roads and forest tracks lead to the sanctuary. A 4WD is recommended.

Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit Ngengpui Wildlife Sanctuary is from November to April. During this period, the weather is pleasant, the forests are lush, and wildlife sightings are more frequent. Monsoon season (May to September) should be avoided due to heavy rainfall and slippery trails.
